Product Description:

The PET leader tape used for front-end traction of semiconductor chip packaging reels has a core function of connecting the starting end of the reel to the traction mechanism of automated equipment. It assists the carrier tape (containing chips) in accurately entering the mounting process and serves as a "transition connector" to ensure the automated assembly of packaged chips.

Application:

• Traction Transition: The structure of the carrier tape (including chips) at the initial end of the reel is relatively fragile. The traction tape is connected to the head end of the carrier tape through adhesion/clamping, providing a stable "gripping point" for the traction mechanism of automated equipment, and avoiding chip displacement or carrier tape deformation caused by directly pulling the carrier tape.

• Path Guidance: Through its own straight physical properties, it guides the carrier tape to accurately enter the positioning track of the equipment (such as index hole alignment sensors, cover tape peeling mechanisms), reducing equipment debugging time and ensuring mounting accuracy.

• Protecting the Head End of the Carrier Tape: It prevents the head end of the carrier tape from being contaminated with dust or damaged by mechanical friction due to exposure when the reel is opened, thereby indirectly protecting the internal chips.
